Sometimes, the truth comes from strange places. This morning, President Trump retweeted the kind quiet part out loud, the belief that many conservatives have but would prefer you not to think about. In 2013, long before he was president, Donald J. Trump was happy to tell Americans how much he paid in taxes. He would rave about his successful businesses. Donald J. Trump would crow about the success of The Apprentice and his other businesses.
Underneath all of that, however, was a deep disdain for the American people. Donald J. Trump told Americans a truth that so many conservatives didn’t want to acknowledge. He simply believed that most Americans would never be successful, and so what. They would just have to live with it.
